  Kinetics based rigorous model for simulation of semi regenerative commercial catalyst naphtha reformers for production of xylenes, benzene-toluene and gasoline.
  Considers up to 26 lumps of naphtha covering the feed carbon number range, undergoing major reforming reactions such as dehydrogenation isomerization, dehydrocyclization, cracking of naphthenes and paraffin’s and hydrodealkylation. The model is equipped with modules to simulate catalyst deactivation and to calculate octane number of product reformate stream.
 Application Areas
Specify and then study the effects of different feed compositions and operating conditions on the reformer performance and catalyst activity.
  Trouble shoot reformer operation
  Study temperature drop across the reformer.
  Monitor and if required modify reformer operation conditions to maximize the octane value of the aromatics rich product stream.
  Revamp with respect to design change, capacity change, catalyst loading, equipment revamp and process design
CatReformSim is a mathematical model that can predict the performance of a reformer and predicts the catalyst activity.  It is very useful and helps in business decisions in industries regarding product yields and process changes in the system.
